A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners.
People
meet and greet at high speed. 25 minutes are usually enough to build
connections, then the bell rings and the next meeting starts.
The workflow in detail
1) Online registration
Register online and submit your own cooperation profile.
Rioja companies: In your profile you can state a description of your company/products and trademarks; and valuable information about your competitive advantages and commercial offer to attract the interest of potential buyers (quality certifications, relevant clients or prizes, channels of distributions searched, experience in external markets if applicable, countries of interest, etc.).
Importers: In your profile you can state a description of your business, your interest attending the event (products of your interest), products and trademarks you are now commercializing and country of origin; Distribution channel you address to, or you represent (clarify): Wholesaler, Hypermarkets, Supermarkets/ Hotels and Restaurants/ Gourmet and /Food Chains/ Other. Even specific requirements products and/or companies must comply to work with you.
Note: The better the quality of your profile, the more meeting requests you will receive.
Your business proposal is your business card, therefore spend some minutes to insert a high quality and meaningfull profile.
2) Promotion of published profiles
All Spanish published profiles will be extensively promoted by the organisers
of this event. Furthermore, all participants of the event will view
your cooperation profile. A statistical analysis of 40 matchmaking
events showed that high quality profiles are visited about 50 to 150
times BEFORE the event and will still be viewed AFTER the event.
3) Selection of bilateral meetings

Importers will be informed by email
when they can start booking bilateral meetings.
From a total of 16 possible business meetings, 11 will be chosen by the
Importers and the other 5 meetings up to complete the final agenda will
be settled by the Organiser attending also the preferences of the Rioja companies wich will inform accordingly by mail.
Check which cooperation
profiles are the most interesting for you. Once you have found
the most promising business partners, you can select them for bilateral
meetings. Please be aware
that the bookings are managed on the principle "first come - first
served".
Your personal meeting schedule
A few days before
the event you will receive your personal meeting schedule by mail (furthermore
you can constantly check your meeting schedule online). This meeting
schedule gives information about the time, the number of the table and
who you are going to meet.
4) At the event
The event will start on time, bring your meeting agenda and check the order of your meetings and the table assigned for each meeting. The table numbers are assigned to the wineries, the importer will be the one to move, once the bell rings (every 25 minutes) to go to their next appointment at the corresponding table as marked in their agenda.
Your personal meeting schedule will be listed in chronological order and it will include:
- the names of your conversation partners
- the table number for each meeting
- the schedule of meetings
